    Merit 725E Elliptical - Same as the 715E, but with power pack instead of a battery-operated console, powered resistance changes vs. manual adjustment, and a 5% incline.

    Nautilus E514 - There are better choices out there for a trainer in the $600-$900 range.

    Nautilus E916 - a health club model featuring the finest in workmanship and quality components, 400-pound weight capacity and articulating foot pedals.

    The Nautilus NE 2000 - Top Performer - A luxury class elliptical machine from Nautilus Fitness. Rated ‘excellent value” by Consumer Reports.

    NordicTrack A.C.T. Commercial 7 - Unique center driven mechanism for a different workout experience.

    NordicTrack Elite 12.0 Elliptical - Offers a 10% decline and a big 22" stride length to help target more muscles in the legs for even faster results; an exceptional deal for all that you get.

    NordicTrack Elite 12.7 Elliptical - Another excellent machine in the upper price range. We remain fans of the handlebars with the built-in resistance and incline adjustment.

    NordicTrack Elite 17.7 Elliptical - An upgrade from the Elite 14.7 with a larger browser window and a warranty that has been extended by one year on both parts and labor.

    NordicTrack Commercial XM Elliptical - Not a commercial but a residential model covered by a 90 day parts/labor warranty (red flag!); you will have to spend extra money to buy extended coverage.

    NordicTrack FreeStrider 35S Elliptical - An exceptional cardio-blasting workout machine that will have you huffing, puffing, and sweating; an all-in-one stepper / elliptical.

    NordicTrack E5.5 Elliptical - The E5.5 elliptical has three adjustable stride settings to target the muscle groups in the legs in different ways to achieve faster toning results.  

    NordicTrack E5.7 Elliptical - The front-drive E5.7 elliptical features an 18" - 20" Adjustable Stride Length plus five choices of incline from zero to 20 degrees.

    NordicTrack E7.5 Elliptical - A solid step up from the entry-level E7.1 model. Programs include 12 each for performance enhancement and calorie burning.

    ProForm 600 ZNE - Equipment pros give the 600 ZNE a nod for being one of the better ProForm designs. A lightweight person might have good luck with this model.

    ProForm ErgoStrider 3.0 - Poor quality and a terrible value even for $327. Bad warranty, short stride, noisy, wobbly, cheap parts – it’s not worth your time or ours to review it.

    ProForm ZE5 - Way overpriced at $799 MSRP, even at its sale price of $599. Put it on your NO list and read the reviews on better quality machines.

    The ProForm 10.0 ZE Elliptical - adjustable stride length, solid ergonomic feel, oversized foot pedals, low noise.

    ProForm 590E Elliptical - a decent buy if you are on a budget and weigh under 200 lbs.

    ProForm 790E Elliptical - the most workout programs you'll find on a budget machine.

    ProForm 1050E Elliptical - a new model for 2010 and the first reviews are nearly all enthusiastic. Big 40-degree Power Intensity Ramp helps to isolate and target the upper legs.

    The ProForm Crosswalk 8.0 Elliptical - a center-drive elliptical with a long 22" stride, a highly effective cardio/weight loss trainer for $699.

    The ProForm SpaceSaver DX - a folding budget model with power incline ramp.
