UPDATE:  As of our latest review it appears that the E55 is no longer available.

Checking on the company site only the Fitnex E70 elliptical as well as a version for kids called the XE5 are available.

You are probably better off with a different brand, as the company does not seem to be putting too much focus on their elliptical lineup.  You'll be better served with a NordicTrack, Sole or Horizon in this particular price range.

Check out our best ellipticals here for a better option in all different price ranges.

There are actually two versions of this model: the newer Fitnex E55SG elliptical is “self-generating” (no plug-in required) and the Fitnex E55 is a plug-in model. The SG has a blue and green display, while the E55 version has the red LED window readouts.

Both models feature a 20" stride length, 8" center-to-center foot spacing, a 10.5" step-up height, dual rollers on wide tracks, a 7% incline, and 16 levels of resistance.

Other features include contact grips on the front handlebars for heart rate monitoring, optional wireless telemetry compatibility (chest strap not included), a convenient bottle holder, reading rack, and a solid 190-lb frame in a compact design.

Fitnex E55 - Final Thoughts

The availability of the Fitnex E55 elliptical and the E55SG model can be hit and miss but many online retailers carry them.

You won’t find any user comments or reviews on them, but in our opinion, they look to be solid and reliable machines for home use.

Of the two, the E55SG for $1,099 is the better choice because of the self-generating feature and blue-green display.
