Experts are very judgmental of almost all elliptical trainers in the sub-$400 price range since it’s just about impossible to find something worth the money. You need to think long and hard about the weak warranty, and the likelihood that parts on a cheap elliptical like this often break. Furthermore, the trainers will point out that the HealthRider 330 elliptical doesn’t offer a comfortable ride by any means, so you’ll need some determination and motivation to return day after day to work out on it.

Consumers have noted how noisy the HealthRider 330 elliptical trainer is, and that it does not have a good oval feel to the pedal motion. On the plus side, it isn’t all that wobbly for a unit that has a lot of cheap plastic on it, but overall, it’s strictly a model for lighter weight users.

Our Thoughts

Instead of putting $349 down on this machine, we suggest you take that money and go join a gym for a year where you can work out on great cardio equipment. We’ve seen far too many instances of people buying a cheap machine such as the HealthRider 330 elliptical trainer, only to see it end up sitting in a corner of the room unused. You do have a good alternative though; we suggest you take a look at the Eclipse 1100HR elliptical for a solid performer at a great price.
