First off, let's be practical. What's the most important thing to consider when shopping for an elliptical? Is it the price, the impressive looks, the multitude of new and advanced/innovative high-tech features, the seemingly endless array of fancy bells & whistles? No, none of the above. The main thing to look for is the ergonomics. Because what's the good of all the fancy gizmos and gadgets if you're never going to be comfortable while using your machine? If you're not going to enjoy your workouts, guess what.....your elliptical is going to end up being just another dust-gathering (and likely, very expensive) coathanger.
On the other hand, when you have a unit that "feels" right you not only enjoy your workouts, you look forward to the next workout. And that, folks, is where the Horizon CE5.2 comes in.
If you're of average stature and proportion you're going to love this machine. When you work out on this quiet and smooth-operating exerciser it feels like it was tailor-made for you. The SixStar Certification Platform.....BRILLIANT!
And for me, 10 program options is plenty, 10 resistance levels is more than enough, the 18" stride with articulating, properly angled foot pedals feels just right, the machine (once properly leveled) feels both stable and sturdy at all times, and it was easy to assemble. The 3-speed fan and versatile speaker system are just icing on the cake. I've been using this well-designed and well-built little beauty almost daily for about a month now and couldn't be more pleased. And to top it all off I was lucky enough to get it on sale for the unbelievably low price of $499. Incredible value, great elliptical.....highly recommended.
