Horizon EX-59 Elliptical - Enjoyed It for 2 Months

I bought a Horizon EX-59, enjoyed it for a couple months, but then a vibration, rattle, knocking, and not so smooth action set in for good. I thought it might go away or "break in," but nope, it has only gotten worse and I am taking it back for a new one.

I have decided to go with the Schwinn 430 online at Amazon.com. Waiting for its arrival.

Follow-up on The Schwinn 430

The Schwinn 430 arrived in timely fashion, it was not difficult to assemble, and I know now why it is so well rated. I should have bought this machine the first time. I believe you will be happy, as I am, with this machine if you enjoy a good workout, with different programs to work with. The machine is very simple to operate, but very well built. The heavier flywheel is the key, and I am sure the breaking system is superior. This machine is smooth, very quiet, but seemingly built like a tank, with an economic price tag. It is every bit as smooth and resistant as some of the high end fitness machines at your local exercise houses and clubs. Very happy with the new machine!

Clarification on the Horizon EX-59 Elliptical

I enjoyed this machine and believe overall it is built well, but this particular one developed quite the vibration in the flywheel. I am not overweight, as I weigh under 190 lbs. This was suggested as a potential reason for the problem. No way. I used this machine 4-6 times a week for 3 months. Purchased at the end of January, 2011, and the problem started to show up toward the middle of March. It continually got worse.

I am hoping the Schwinn 430 is as good as everyone says it is!
