The NordicTrack A.C.T. Commercial 7 elliptical is from NordicTrack’s mid-mech commercial series which has a unique center driven mechanism to allow a different workout experience on an elliptical trainer.
This trainer has fully adjustable stride length which enables the user to personalize the workout with an inertia-enhanced flywheel which gives the rider an impressively fluid feel. The user has the luxury of a 7” full touch screen display with online capabilities which can be integrated with IFIT® to allow the user to track workouts and even use Google maps to visualize a route.
The NordicTrack A.C.T. Commercial 7 elliptical comes with 24 resistance settings which use SMR™ Silent Magnetic Resistance to swap between resistances with ease and fluidity. With 35 workout programs there is a great range of versatility in your training session and with a CoolAire™ fan you will keep cool the whole time.
For a mid-range trainer priced at around $1300 the NordicTrack A.C.T. Commercial 7 elliptical gives the user a great experience with a very fluid ride. Having a 23 lb. flywheel allows the rider to be able to work at a high resistance and the full touch screen display with web capabilities gives a very advanced technology feel.
There is a large amount of programs to give a great variety in the performance of training and it is quite compact making it a good choice for smaller spaces.
The portable Polar® chest strap is a great added extra that gives the user freedom to be able monitor heart rate without the need to use the CardioGrip™. Reviewers praise the trainer for its fluidity and functioning.
The NordicTrack ACT Commercial 7 is a great choice with loads of wonderful features and capabilities. iFit technology gives you additional workouts, tracking capability and perhaps best of all, Google maps that allow you to virtually train anywhere in the world you choose.
You get a nice adjustable stride, 35 built-in workouts, 24 resistance levels and a wireless heart rate monitor for accurate readings. Add to this a compact footprint and tons of adjustability, and you have one great machine.
If you don't need the touch screen or the web, you can opt for the base ACT Commercial model. You lose a few features but you'll save about 400 dollars or so.
Or, if you want to step it up a bit, the higher end ACT 10 comes with a 10" touch screen. Besides the bigger screen everything about the two machines is the same, so it's simply a matter of preference.
Here is your chance to rant or rave about the elliptical you use at home or at the fitness center.
