The Word on the Street

The NordicTrack E15.0 elliptical has a 32-lb inertia enhanced flywheel, a dynamic 1-touch Power Ramp™ that adjusts from a -10° Decline to a 20° Incline. This, along with a longer stride length, helps recruit more muscle activity for better fitness results. The handles have built-in controls for resistance and the ramp angle, and the cushioned pedals have three angle adjustments for a more comfortable stride.

The handgrip heart rate monitors and a free chest pulse help you stay in your training zone. The 1-touch digital resistance control is a quiet and smooth mechanism for a fluid, health club quality feel.

Console features of the NordicTrack E15.0 include two 2" speakers, an iPod/MP3 plug in port, and a workout fan with two speed settings. The two high-definition video workouts feature beautiful views of Haleakala and Hana terrain in Hawaii. Interactive with the elliptical trainer’s computer, the incline and decline adjust to match the terrain that appears on the screen.

Our Thoughts

The Smart Terrain NordicTrack E15.0 at $1599 has some cool video and program features that are innovative, especially the incline/decline ramp and varying stride length, which are not available on competitor models. Not only is NordicTrack helping to lead the elliptical market into a new era of crosstrainers, the company has really improved their quality and customer service in recent years too. The NordicTrack E15.0 elliptical and the lower priced Elite 12.0 at $1,299 are excellent trainers from NordicTrack.
