The New NordicTrack Elite 12.9 Elliptical is Feature-Packed

The NordicTrack Elite 12.9 elliptical is a brand new model in their front drive series with tons of great features and capabilities that will satisfy all users.  For the price, you really can't beat it as far as how much they give you for your money.

What You Get

The 12.9 features a 7-inch web enabled touchscreen, which is something you typically don't get in this price range, which is about $1299 or so when it's on sale.  You also have up to a 20% incline, great for ramping up your cardio workout, and a free BlueTooth wireless chest strap for accurately measuring your heart rate throughout your workout.

Of course you also get ICON Fitness' unique iFit technology (this one is enabled and ready to go) which gives you even more workouts, customized Jillian Michael's programs and the ability to workout anywhere in the world with Google maps.

The Word on the Street

UPDATE:  As of 2016, the Elite 12.9 is no longer being sold.  It has been replaced by the upgraded C 12.9 model.

So far most buyers are very happy with the new NordicTrack Elite 12.9, and it's become one of the more popular models in the lineup.  They appreciate the generous stride length which is a step up from previous models.  They also note the nice variety of built-in workouts and the fact that you can incline up to 20%.

Probably the most talked about feature though is iFit, which is far and away the most popular workout enhancers out there.  It is quickly becoming standard on all ICON Fitness ellipticals, especially the higher priced models.

iFit is a unique program that gives you access to tons of customized workouts from personal trainers like Jillian Michaels, allows you to track, share and monitor your results and perhaps best of all virtually work out in any location across the globe with Google maps...the machine automatically adjusts its incline to match the terrain you select.

Our Thoughts

The NordicTrack Elite 12.9 elliptical is a very good choice in the price range, giving you features you just won't find elsewhere.  With the web enabled touchscreen, iFit, all of the resistance and incline levels and sound system, you have absolutely everything covered.

If you're looking for an elliptical trainer that has everything, you really can't go wrong the 12.9.
