* Requires iFit Live™ wireless adapter (sold separately).
UPDATE: The Pro 3500 has been discontinued and replaced with the new Pro series models. You can check them out as well as the other new models on sale:
The ProForm Pro 3500 elliptical has a 20" to 22" stride that adjusts automatically when you change the incline from 10 degrees to 20 degrees. The heavy flywheel and SMR™ Silent Magnetic Resistance system combine to provide silent and frictionless operation. The incline and decline power ramp can be adjusted on the handlebars or with 1-touch controls on the console, as well as adjust automatically with the 48 programs.
Workouts include 28 performance and 20 weight loss programs, and 20 resistance levels are available within the programs and the manual setting to keep you progressing in your weight management and body toning goals.
With iFit Live built-in and a one-year free subscription, you get workouts designed by pro trainer Jillian Michaels as well as virtual workouts powered by Google Maps™. You can also download new programming and use the technology to upload your workout stats to your personal profile account at ifit.com.
More features on the ProForm Pro 3500 elliptical include a docking port for your iPod so you can play music through the integrated high quality speakers, close pedal spacing to mimic a natural stride, hand grip heart rate sensors, a cooling fan, cushioned pedals, and controls for the ramp and resistance levels located conveniently on the moving handlebars.
One note: user reviews mention that the 375-pound max user weight seems overstated, and that for the size of frame, most reviewers advise that the rider be no more than around 275 to 300 pounds.
The ProForm Pro 3500 is identical to a sister model, the NordicTrack Elite 15.0 elliptical, which is also made by parent company, ICON Fitness. Both are priced at $2,599 and come with free shipping – but don’t pay that as these companies offer big weekly sales and will likely offer this for around $1700 very soon. And while that is a reasonable price for the ProForm Pro 3500 elliptical, you can save money and get the Pro 1500, the basic model that comes with the same frame and specs, fewer programs, and no web browser for around $1300.
Here is your chance to rant or rave about the elliptical you use at home or at the fitness center.
