Our Thoughts

The Smooth CE 7.4 is another classically designed, excellent machine by a company that’s made its name in the elliptical trainer market. The extra features that increase the price on this model are primarily the extraordinary LED console’s many functions and the increased stride length. The weight capacity, at 350 lbs., is also a bit higher than other models. We’re not sure these added features add up to an additional $500 for most users, though.

If you’re a big fan of the bells and whistles or really need that extra inch or two on the stride, it could be worth it. For most people, you’ll get a great workout with other Smooth Fitness ellipticals and save yourself the extra $500 that the Smooth CE 7.4 elliptical trainer costs.
